3. Talk therapy — Talk therapy also helps. Therapists encourage patients to talk about their problems, pain and sadness, and issues that are impinging on their life and causing depression.

4. Lifestyle changes — A healthy body can improve your mind and your health. Doctors recommend you check your diet, and increase the amount of exercise you do in your daily life to help you improve your mental and physical health.
